The number of minions offered to the player starts at 3 and is increased by 1 at tiers 2, 4 and 6. Taverns start at tier 1 and can be upgraded to tier 6. Your current Tavern Tier is displayed on a small flag next to Bob, and is visible to all players when they hover over.
